The Jets gained two wins in four days, which is rare this season. However, today, a win was critical for Jets, and they stepped up to record a convincing victory.
More changes as Wednesday’s Jets Man of the Match, Patrick Brander, was unavailable, and skipper Chippy did not recover from injury.

Jets controlled this one from start to end. Early chances did not go our way. How David Lopes did not get a penalty is a mystery. Then George Rice was denied when 1:1 and Lopes again, striking the post. Just as you feared the misses, Owen Ayres superbly played in George Rice, who slotted at an angle for 1-0.

Jets had the upper hand but did not turn their possession into a more significant lead, so they reached halftime with the game tightly balanced.
The second half was a positive change for Jets from recent games as the performance went up a gear instead of becoming sloppy.

The Carlsberg Man of the Match, whilst having an obvious winner, had nominations, with Liam Osborne having one of his best games for the club and James Kimber outstanding all day, but the outright deserved winner was David Lopes.
