Jets had to have a good look at themselves after the lifeless midweek thumping, and wow, did they respond to manager Tom Inch’s demands.
It was different from the moment they arrived at a ground Jets have never won at !
On a fantastic brand-new Astro that was just perfect, the sun was out, and it was like a summer’s day at football, so expectations were high, and they didn’t disappoint.

Dom Mosca strikes the decisive goal.
Jets took the lead with a superb flowing move and a massive assist by one of the finds of the season for Jets as Joseph Brown squared a peach for top scorer Dominic Mosca to hammer home, giving the keeper no chance at all (31 mins) 0-1. Jets pushed to extend, but it took an excellent save by Kazi at the feet to hold the deserved lead at the break.

Big save by Kazi keeps Jets in the lead.
Jets were forced by illness to make a change. Samurai responded and pushed Jets hard for the first ten minutes, but Jets’ work rate today was not fading, and they gained control again, and it looked like they had a penalty when George Rice was taken down, but the hosts survived thanks to an assistant’s flag.

Clean sheet on his debut for Ayaz Kazi in goal.
Jets made the changes as the heat took effect, made worse by the heat radiated by the astro, and it was good to see young Dhyan Sharma playing such a good part and a debut for Oliver Frost, again showing Tom Inch’s trust in youngsters, even in tight, highly competitive matches.

Excellent debut for Oliver Frost.
The changes made no difference to the Jets’ effort or flow to a man; the team responded today, giving the side a real boost and again showing the ability they have when they put in the effort they’re capable of.
The man of the match was unanimous, even given such a complete performance: Dominic Mosca was awesome from start to finish.
