After the Lord Mayor show is the saying, on Tuesday against a promotion-chasing step 5 side, Wormley Rovers, Jets were superb and just three minutes from a cup shock and county cup final. Post-match, the talk from fans and neutrals was about how this team is not higher in the league ?! Today, against a fellow step 6 side but a promotion play-off team, the answer was there to see, consistency, not ability, not commitment, just consistency !! No matter how hard they tried, the Jets today could not do anything right; it was disjointed and flat, and you could see the frustration and self-beating. The match was goalless at the break. Henry Ford was making some good interventions in goal, but the Jets offered no attacking highlights or chances on a bobbly pitch; now it’s dried so much after being cut to shreds, nor did our high-flying visitors, Eversley & California.

So, with so much young but raw, inexperienced talent learning the senior game, the game-changer will be consistent performances.
