In an even end to end match Jets went behind to an early penalty but equalised through an own goal header from a fierce Jets cross from a free-kick out wide.
Jets equalise from a defensive header
Jets looked to push on but went behind again as the defence switched off enabling a Spelthorne attacker to run through defenders and slot home. HT 1-2
A positive start to the second half showed Jets working hard to level. The breakthrough came with a superb free-kick from Dan Naylor, a candidate for Jets goal of the season, making it 2-2.

With Jets on the front foot the Spelthorne defence looked fragile and when Spelthorne defender Jack Buckle picked up a second yellow it looked a great opportunity for Jets to win the game.
Unfortunately, Jets could not find a way through, and in some ways being forced to play on the counter to their fast forwards seemed to suit Spelthorne more. Then in added time Jets allowed a Spelthorne attacker to turn and shoot and the game was lost . FT 2-3.
