Jets Despair As Woods Strikes Late
Jets fell to two late goals against Colney Heath again showing when you are down you get no luck at all.
After long layoffs, Luke Wells, Andy Amoah and Luke Lloyd returned along with reserve skipper Scott Pugsley to give Jets more belief and caring in the side in the uphill battle to avoid one of the relegation places.
Jets were looking on for the points after Andy Amoah had put them in the lead just minutes into the second half, and they looked like holding it, but for a worldie from Jack Woods smashed into the net off the crossbar seven minutes from time to level at 1-1.
The sickening blow was a second from Woods two minutes later in off the post, and again Jets finish with nothing. Their luck summed right up with both going in off the woodwork while all of Jets that hit it come out.
