Jets progressed for the first time in the FA ( youth) cup against a lively Leverstock Green at the Adrian Flux Insurance Boundary Stadium.
Levi started more lively and looked to have the lead, but after initially awarding the goal and celebrations, the official spoke to his assistant, and it was ruled out for offside.
Levi had a second let-off when a bolt-on penalty was awarded for a foul, and this was saved with a stunning save by the Jets’ keeper.
Lady Luck was definitely on the side of the Jets when they took the lead with a long-range shot that somehow bounced over the keeper for 1-0
Leverstock levelled with an equally stunning free kick that the jets keeper could only look and watch hit the net.
Jets restored their lead to take a 2-1 advantage into the changing room at the break.
A well-taken penalty for 3-1
Then Jets wrapped up the match 4-1 for a superb result for the Jets and a home match v Hilltop in the next round on the first week in September.
