Jets Win On The Road
Penn & Tylers Green 0 Oxhey Jets 2
Combined Counties Division One
8th August 2023
Three points on the road to clock up six points in four days passing last season’s Christmas total of five points !!!
Jets are very young and inexperienced but their abilities and desire surpass anything we’ve seen at Jets for a couple of seasons.
Jets just like Saturday started brightly at the fantastic facilities offered by the hosts, and if you can’t play football on that pitch you can’t play football!
Jets almost recklessly stream forward but if any criticism it’s the finishing that needs work as far too many chances are missed.

BEN DELICATA PUTS JETS INTO THE LEAD

BIG BEN STRIKES ONE
Jets deservedly took the lead. Big Ben was on hand to strike following an assist by Andre Lopes who’s done really well on his return.
An incredible starburst save kept Jets in front by GK Lewis Lavin, his second clean sheet on the bounce by-passing last season’s whole total ( of one ).
The unpredictable Avtandili was so unlucky lobbing the keeper but incredible defending cleared off the line.
Jets were one up at the break but will rue these missed chances in a match soon.
The second period was much like Saturday with Jets defending hard as the hosts dominated play, and now Jets were responding on the break.

Good defence again from Jets

Lewis Lavin made several good saves
Lewis Lavin and the whole back four were incredible blocking, hassling, chasing and showing incredible commitment.

Andre Lopes denied on the line
On the break Jets were dangerous and this time Andre Lopes was the one denied on the line with the keeper beaten.

KLEYTON DE BIAZZE SETTLES IT 2-0

KLEYTON DE BIAZZE CELEBRATES
A couple of yellows for both sides in a game not needing any before, late on, the killer punch as an excellent spring move by Avtandili and Andre had the defence back treading then a jink and ball of the match reverse by Andre sent young substitute Kleyton de-Biazze clear but wide and he placed the ball accurately past the keeper and two defenders and in off the far post to seal the match 0-2 and his joy was obvious.
These lads are really doing us proud at the moment.

Two assists for Andre to add to his two goals on Saturday.
The Carlsberg Man Of the Match was a long discussion again. Andre had two assists and the back four tremendous with Big Ben getting a special mention, but the majority vote went to goalkeeper Lewis Lavin, two clean sheets and saves when the chips were down tonight.
