Hard Work But A Good Result
Oxhey Jets 1 Shepherds Bush 0
Combined Counties Division One
6th October 2026
Jets gained three important points and bounced back from Saturday’s horror show — not quite in style, but at least with a win.
Shepherd’s Bush were with us earlier in the season, but the game was abandoned following a horrific injury to one of their players. Their form since has not been good and they currently find themselves bottom of the table.
Jets got off to a flying start, with Dominic Mosca converting a Josh Blake cross after just six minutes. After that, chances came and went, but nothing was added before the break.
The second half saw Jets in almost complete rearguard action, defending for virtually the whole half. Some excellent defending, plus some horrendous misses from the visitors, helped Jets get over the line.
Manager Tom Inch rang the changes and, in the end, it was the points that mattered. But it was certainly not a comfy or confident watch, and things are not quite gelling at the moment after the recent good run.
