Costly Errors Hurt Jets

Another match, four changes, debuts, and another player to hospital with a break, when will this season and the change of league just give us a little bit of luck with our young side to help our struggle.
Ferrell returned to Jets, but a stomach bug made it short-lived as sickness led to him having to “run for the clubhouse” with around twenty minutes played.
Unfortunately, a defensive error almost immediately cost Jets as the ball quickly broke and Jets were behind.
To rub salt in our wounds minutes earlier Johnny Gill, on his debut, thought he had given Jets the lead but was denied by the flag after netting.
Jets went two down before the break from the spot, and from there it was an uphill struggle.
Half time was calm and constructive, there is no point screaming at a demoralised squad but the next goal was critical, and again an error of a misplaced pass led to another penalty conversion and 3-0 all over.
The bright spots, the first start for 16 yr old Jack Thompson went well, Vass took the Skipper’s armband, and he, along with young Reid Sims gave their all and shared the Jets man of the match. Tom Inch was his usual self, and Sean Giordmaina coming on from the bench early in the second half looked his old self.
The bad bits included losing Ferrell so early, but the big blow was yet another player lost to hospital with another confirmed break, this time another youngster, Jameel Murshid, with a double break in the hand confirmed by Barnet hospital.
Things are difficult, and Jets need a break and a change of luck. We need to start winning points soon.
