Jets and title chasers Bedfont thrilled a big Boundary stadium crowd of 218 on Easter Saturday. Jets, in recent form, have transformed from a mid-table side to a truly competitive one.
Bedfont and Penn are duelling for automatic promotion and the title. This was a strong test for the young Jets.

Luke Nugent hooks one off the line.
Jets fell behind early to a penalty after a Danny Fowler foul, 0-1 (11 mins). However, Jets were not deterred. They put on a real battling display. Luke Nugent did well to hook one off the line. Liam Osborne also had a really good defensive game.

Dom Mosca levels 1-1.
In a see-saw match of equal possession, the Jets pulled level when David Lopes chased down a seemingly lost ball, recovered it near the touchline, and sent a precise pass across the area for top scorer Dominic Mosca to steer into the net, making it 1-1 after 19 minutes.
The teams delivered a strong display with little sign of the league gap between them.

A thunderbolt from David Lopes. 2-1
Early in the second half, David Lopes scored one of his specials with a thunderous shot that hit the net with the keeper rooted and only able to watch. 2-1 ( 49 mins)
On the hour Bedfont drew level with an excellent placed header by Luke Owen’s 2-2 (60 mins)
It was now end-to-end with both sides having chances. Both Olly Pope and Dhyan Sharma looked to have got it for Jets, but one on the bar and the other just wide.
The man of the match was close. David Lopes got it—rightly so. He had a great assist, a spectacular goal, and was a driving force in midfield against a top side.
