After some postponed fixtures in past few weeks, it was back to business in the league for the Jets as they played hosts to Cockfosters positioned mid table.
The first half started at a pace for both sides and it was looking more as if it was going to be a tough evening for the Jets as Cockfosters made some fine runs into the Jets area, but it was in the 22nd minute that things were to change, as Owen Deamer was to collect the ball on the right and make progress to the edge of the Cockfosters area, and when clear sent a drive passed the keeper to open the score at 1-0
The half continued in the same vein with end-to-end football and the Jets having a slight edge, with the Cockfosters keeper bringing some fine saves to hold the score to the break.
There was very little change to be seen in the second half as once again both sides settled down to an attacking game, but still no change. Substitutions were made by the Jets to add new legs to the squad as the break was taking its toll. Time was passing, and the one goal advantage was looking more like a result for the Jets, but in the 70th minute a run on the left by Adam Lowton was to see a cross collected by Ian Holdom who was to add yet another goal to his already impressive goal tally as his shot was to enter the Cockfosters net 2-0.
It was just a short time after that the game was to be completed as in the 80th minute substitute Myles Stephenson made an impressive run up the centre, taking on several players before sending a powerful shot over the Cockfosters line and finishing the Jets total of 3-0 for the evening.
Substitutes used: Myles Stephenson and Ryan Murray
