In the space of four days, Jets experienced the highs and lows of football. After the euphoria of coming from two goals down to win last Saturday' s F.A. Cup tie, Jets self destructed tonight in what was an important game for both Jets and Leverstock Green, as both had lost their opening two games.
After Green had taken the lead on 18 minutes, Jets fought back and grabbed the equaliser when Stevie Brown scored in the final seconds of the first half.
Jets looked to have turned it around completely when Luke Beardsworth gave them the lead on the hour.
The final 30 minutes, however, were a nightmare for Jets. Green scored in the 65th and 82nd minute to win the game.
Jets also had two players sent off. Spencer Bellotti had to go for a professional foul, Wayne Gladdy talked his way into the inevitable red.
A bad night all round for Jets, leaving them pointless after three league games.
